When interviewed for the job of arranger for the "Gichy Dan and Beachwood 9" album, Mr. Mundi was asked if he knew how to arrange strings. He did not, but replied "of course". He secured the position, bought himself a book on string arrangement and taught himself. Known for his association with August Darnell ( Kid Creole, Dr. Buzzards ...) , Coati has also worked with artists such as Vernon Reid, Tito Puente, Nona Hendryx and Machito, just to name a few. He continues to tour and perform.
